NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 11: Day 20 Tomb of Rachel, the Knesset, and Yom NCSY

Dear NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 11 Parents,

On Wednesday, we had a relaxing day in order to prepare prior to the big concert of Yom NCSY.

We had a late start and began with a chance to pray at the Tomb of Rachel.  It was the first time for many of the teens to have such an opportunity to visit a tomb of our matriarch.

Afterwards, we had lunch in the Rose Garden across from the Knesset building before we went in to learn how the government looks and works in Israel.

The tour was insightful and interesting especially as we were able to get a real sense of the building sitting in the rooms of the government committees and within the Parliament room itself. While in the main hall, we had the privilege and luck to be spoken to Yehuda Glick a member of the Knesset. He spoke beautifully to the teens and made their experience much more meaningful.

In the evening, we got together with over 2000 people in Ra’anana for an amazing concert at Yom NCSY.  All of the teens enjoyed the dinner and time before the program to meet up with all of the other teens on different NCSY programs.   The concert was a blast and everyone had an amazing time dancing, singing and enjoying the music!
